[rquoter]Just filed to ESPN.com: Raptors close to buyout of sharpshooter Peja Stojakovic. Buyout scheduled to be completed later today. Link to come

Sources close to situation say Peja hoping to go West once he clears waivers. Mavs, Lakers and Hornets are top three teams on his list [/rquoter]

Please no! We know Adelman will force Morey to adopt his former player again.

Doesn't matter, he's a bench role player at this point. With the state of his defense, you yank him if he isn't hot from the outside.

Chandler, Dirk, Peja, Terry, Kidd - that lineup could bury opponents pretty quick. And no, I don't think Peja is all that good anymore, just deadly in that set. On offense anyways.

I guess Dallas is going to be a little less desperate to trade for a SF now... eh.

When did this happen? Unless you mean Rasual Butler, but he didn't play for the Mavs. Jackie Butler maybe? No, he never played for the Mavs either.

Peja at a supercheap price would be perfect for a contender like the Lakers or Mavs. Without the big contract, the expectations are low and the pressure will be off him. This is important for Peja to succeed because of his total lack of guts and intestinal fortitude.

I'm going to try and avoid another anti-Peja tirade. But it's been a while...

peja's a good signing for the Mavs but they still need a real replacement for Caron Butler.
