the only "right" deals would be for leonard or butler, but neither of those guys are getting traded to us
love is unplayable BBQ chicken vs GS and several other teams. in fact if he doesn't go out w/ injury, maybe BOS gets to the finals. the other 2 are full on pipe dreams
I understand that. It's been incredible to see Eric finally stay healthy within his role here...and have it expanded with his all star level talents on display. That said, one must consider the value/injury risk/odds. Though he can handle the rock pretty well, and definitely bust it from downtown like nobody's business, he is replaceable...at least his original role is...and can be managed/offset with multiple players/talent. I love the guy, and if EVER the words, "consummate professional "applied, it is to him. It took an enormous amount of discipline to come back from his injuries, and a ton of maturation to accept the original role here. I love the guy.
I actually think Zhou Qi has more value than our 2019 or 2021 super-late draft picks. I'm shocked I'm saying that, but having just watched him live at summer league, he has a chance to be special....with a lot of hard work. Regardless, he's way more talented than anyone teams are typically going to find late in the first round. Also, I think you can take Gerald Green off the list, seeeing as he has a no-trade clause.
Capela, Gordon, and Tucker are not untouchable. As thorough as I can be... I'd say in terms of trade value range, out of 10: James Harden - 20 Chris Paul - 10 Eric Gordon - 7-8 Clint Capela - 7-8 PJ Tucker - 6-7 2019 pick - 6-7 2021 pick - 4-5 (will increase over time) Zhou Qi - 4-5 Isaiah Hartenstein (rights) - 4-5 De'Anthony Melton - 3 Vince Edwards - 2-3 Tarik Black - 2 (NBA proven big men rarely lose all value) Gerald Green - 1-2 MCW - 1-2 Chinanu Onuaku - 1-2 Sergio Llull (rights) - 0-2 Alessandro Gentile (rights) - 0-1 Nene Hilario - 0.5 RJ Hunter - 0.5 Markel Brown - 0.5 Ryan Anderson - 0* (will increase to a 4-5 as we get to the trade deadline, and beyond, as an expiring asset) Marko Todorovic (rights) - 0 (who: rights from the Thomas Robinson trade, anciently) John Diebler (rights) - 0 (who: rights received from Courtney Lee jettison trade, anciently)
Why has no one mentioned Isaiah Harenstein? Is it because he is not yet signed to the active roster? I'm assuming once he is he will have some value. Certainly more than some other players listed
