Jimmer on the cheap from a guard-heavy SAC squad seems like a reasonable move that could pay huge dividends down the road. I think he would benefit from a change of scenery.

Relatively young, quick trigger, pure stroke, high hoops IQ, fiery competitor, and most importantly, value at all-time low... anyone?

Dwight and Harden would bring out the best in him.

I think Thaddeus Young would be a good fit for the Rockets. He can be a stretch 4 and has been hitting a decent percent of long 2's that past few seasons. He was a decent 3 point shooter before the past 2 or 3 years when he stopped shooting them. Decent defender. Clutchfans already has a poster called Thadeus which is close enough to Thaddeus. Hinkie values Rocket players more than most GMs.

Only downfall is a horrible contract (~9 mil each year for three years) and he is a little weak in the rebounding department. The bad contract would most likely prevent the Rockets from trading for him

I like Thaddeus. I think he's fairly underrated.

first bold - Definitely not pure, its ugly too
2nd bold - Does have an IQ needed for the PG position
3rd bold - All time low? Because hes not going to get a max doesn't make it going to be an all time low, hes still expecting to get paid.

    Brandon Freaking Jennings??????????????????????????

Rockets IN: Nick Collison, Perry Jones III, (2014) 1st round pick via OKC

    Thunder IN: Marcin Gortat

    Suns IN: Omer Asik

76ers IN: Kendrick Perkins, (2014) 1st round pick via OKC (Dallas' 1st round pick from Houston in the James Harden Trade)

I know it seems like OKC is giving up a lot, but getting rid of the Perkins contract is huge for them.

    Harden and Asik for LeBron.

Why it works for the Heats?
They get a scorer replacing LeBron and also a shot blockers.

Why it works for the Rockets?
LeBron can both scoring and defense. Finally we have a primary scorer that also have defense.

Why I think we should try to trade for Lowry. His offense is solid, but the defense, hustle, and intangibles are what makes him a great fit. This shows it:

I'm a big Kyle Lowry fan, but him and McHale just couldn't get along.

Really good player. But if there was a realistic trade scenario in which Houston ends up with him and both Houston and Philly believe that they benefit, it probably would have been done already. Not only is Sam Hinkie a former Rockets guy who already made a deal with the Rockets (Royce White salary dump), his team is also clearly rebuilding/tanking and has already traded one established player for draft picks.

There probably isn't a two team deal that makes sense right now and such a deal will need to involve a third team. Specifically, Philly is going to want high level future assets for Young more or less like they did with Holiday. The Rockets doesn't really have those now. Houston's draft picks won't be high, their younger prospects (Jones, Motiejunas, Canaan) are probably middling, and their best trade asset (and necessary salary to make the deal work) is Omer Asik, who is more of a "win now" help.

The teams will probably have to find a third team willing to give up a high-end prospect or a likely lotto pick for Asik in order to satisfy Philly's needs.

A two team doesn't work now. Young already being paid a 9+million a year contract negates his value somewhat. I do think Philly is in a much better position to bring over guys like Llull and Papanikolau. I think Young may be more of an option next season as someone who the Rockets try to get if Motiejunas or Jones can develop a little more. I floated him as a name because he does seem to fit the Rockets.

I've come up with (what I think) is a very interesting three team trade-

    Titled: THE POINT GUARD SHUFFLE

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=kbectg2

-Quick Notes to Keep in Mind-

*Jennings and Milwaukee have been at their wits end on getting an extension settled, and Jennings is strongly considering picking up his qualifying offer to become a free agent next Summer. Next years salary would be for 4.5 mil.
*The Thunder picked up a SEVEN MILLION dollar trade exception from the Kevin Martin S&T with Minnesota that would cover the cost of absorbing Jenning's salary this upcoming year cap-wise... assuming Jennings picks up his qualifying offer to to play next year at his 4.5 mil salary.

Houston Out - Jeremy Lin, Greg Smith
    Houston In- R. Jackson, Sefolosha
    New 2013/14 Salaries Total- 59 - 61Mil (estimate) : Roughly saves 3.2 mil

    Thunder Out- Jackson, Sefolosha
    Thunder In- Jennings, Smith
    New 2013/14 Salaries Total- 65 - 66mil(estimate): Saves roughly 1 to 2 mil

    Bucks Out- Jennings
    Bucks In- Jeremy Lin
New 2013/14 Salaries Total- 48 to 49 (estimate): Adds rougly 5 mil in projected salary

    .............................................................

-Why Houston does this- Absolutely love Jackson's game, and his shooting is really going to complement this roster much better than Lin's would.

Sefolosha adds a bench defender specialist that can also space the floor. Great bench player to come in and lock down on an opposing wing player.

-Why OKC does this- Jennings gives them a dynamic scoring threat coming off the bench to replace the Harden role they very much lack. Losing Jackson hurts, but he's a different type of player and doesn't fit that role as well as Jennings.

Jennings MIGHT leave next year in free agency, but its a risk you have to take. If you could have a year to deal with Perkin's and his salary, i would think that Jennings would love to fit in his 8 - 9 million dollar slot that your paying Perkins to instead pay Jennings in 2014.

Greg Smith would be a nice/cheap addition to their front-line. I could see a Ibaka/Smith lineup being extremely affective in an uptempo system while not giving up as much size by going small with Durant at the PF spot.

-Why the Bucks do this- The Jennings situation doesn't have a happy ending. He's going to leave as a free agent next Summer anyways because of how his free agency was handled this year. Getting Jeremy Lin would be a nice get for a team struggling for an identity, and an efficient player to run your offense through.

Jeremy Lin is also on a more favorable financial contract than what you would have to pay Jennings now to extend (at the 8 to 12 mil he's asking for) for another 5 years at that dollar range. Jeremy Lin gives you a similar player (more controlled, but slightly less dynamic) to play through.

    .......................

    Houston Roster:

    PG: Jackson, Beverley, Brooks, Canaan
    SG: Harden, Sefolosha, Williams
    SF: Parsons, Garcia, Casspi
    PF: Jones, Motiejunas
    C: Howard, Asik, Camby

    Training camp roster cuts-

    Young, Covington, Henriquez

here is a 3 way trade. since jennings wants out and sixers want to trade Turner:

Hou In: E. LLyasova + Lavoy Allen + 2nd rounder
Hou Out: Lin + Asik + Donuts

Mil In: Lin + Turner + Donuts
Mil Out: Jennings + E LLyasoca

    76Ers In: Jennings + Asik
    76Ers Out: Turner + Allen + 2nd rounder

Rockets have cap room and maybe we can move parsons at 4 and have E. Llyasova start at 3. line up would be crazy

    Beverley / Brooks
    Harden / willaims
    E. LLyasova / garcia
    Parsons / Jones
    Howard / Camby

    What u guys think.

Not sure if I follow that. What about his 23% 3 point shooting will complement Harden better? Do you think he'll improve 10-15% this year? (seriously asking not being sarcastic)

Ohh.. man. I just looked at his stats. Your right. I guess I'm strickly going off of his overall stroke which I've always thought looked great, and this year in Summer league, it seemed as though he couldn't miss.

That being said, despite the fact that he's less seasoned than Lin, I really like his overall game, and I could see the Rockets really liking his potential similar to the way they went after Lowry.

Man what are you thinking.....COLLISON! JONES!OKC first..... that is essentially 3 second rounders for a top 10 center.
