Morey is unlikely to upgrade much bc all dinosaurs are not available. Kevin love is not dinosaur, so is Otto porter.

Not worth that gigantic contract. Prince will give you 70 percent of that at 1/20 the cost. Morey should try to acquire him.

Can cash considerations be added to this trade idea. Carmelo plus cash for Frank the Tank's 3.6 M contract? Carmelo gets minutes on a team that needs frontcourt scoring off the bench. Batum is struggling badly there. Frank can give some spacing and rebounding to the Rockets. Better than just letting Melo sitting on the bench.

I have a crush on his potential. He's compared to Otto Porter a lot because they have the same build, play the same position, got similar bloated contracts and are underperforming. For some reason I think Wiggins will be better than Porter. I think he'd be perfect for this squad. Fat Gordon, Ennis, Knight and two firsts

Cash won’t count for salary matching. You’d need to add more salary (Ennis?) to make that trade work.

Agree, but that contract is the only reason we'd have a shot at him by offering late 1sts, UDFAs, and overpaid players that will be in China next year. Would rather have Taurean but we can't get there from here.

The only Prince we could trade for is Tayshaun...

Read an article that stated Kenny Atkinson is emphasizing adding the corner 3 to his game. I'm sure every coach has pushed him to improve but getting permission to take them in game is different. Add to that all the buzz the Nets staff is earning for their "player development" and I could see him hitting 33% next year while providing excellent, switchable defense.

Plus, looking forward he could be a small ball 5 (if Tucker is, then so is RHJ). Or if he plays with a center who shoots 3s (say Hartenstein), put the 5 in the corner and let RHJ set the picks.

I don't know why I haven't put that guy on ignore yet …. 1200+ posts and nothing coherent or remotely useful - not to mention the fake insider act.

    Edit - #ignored.

Melo and a second for RHJ should get it done, no need to overpay

Thanks as always Bima. I would add Ennis for a better player than Frank.

Melo plus Hart works cap wise. Hart works hard, but RHJ can play better defense than Ennis.

Yes, I admit getting Taurean will be difficult. I mentioned Ennis plus Hart and a top 20 protected 1st rounder (2019) for him as our best possible offer him in another post in this thread. The Thunder and the Sixers are after him. They probably can beat a Rockets offer. Wow, I didn't even realize Tayshaun is still playing. Which team is he on?

Addendum: That's a nice one. I forgot Tayshaun had signed up to be an assistant to the Grizzlies GM. I wouldn't mind him helping Morey out.

Have you heard why Hawks would want to move Prince? Thought he was part of core rebuild around him, Collins and Young. Taurean is perfect 3-D player, not just for Rockets but for every NBA team.

High D IQ, high motor, 6-8 w/7-0 wingspan, 36% from 3 and averaging 15 points this season. Although he has been out with injury recently.

I haven't heard that Atlanta wants to move him. I put up links in the NBA Dish which mentioned that the Thunder, Blazers and 76'ers want to acquire him. No mention of the Rockets there. There is another link there, which mentions Noah Vonleh is a potential target on the 76'ers radar. I would like him too in Houston. That doesn't mean that the Knicks want to move him.

Good role players might become available, if teams are willing to overpay for them within limits of course.

3 firsts and EG(I would hate to trade him though)/filler for Bradely Beal, I'm sold man. I know he'll cool off but he is a special player that could push us over the top.

If this is crazy/and or Wizards probably wont take this, someone tell me.

Edit: You know what...nvm, Wizards would never take this deal.

Yeah they won’t. I know Washington is a mess and they need to clean up their roster, but if they’re a mess now, wouldn’t getting rid of Beal while still holding onto Wall make them a lot worse?

Ideally, you would want to get rid of Wall while retaining Beal, but since no one wants to take Wall's contract, its a no go. Beal is on a great contract which is why you could get the most assets for him. It all depends on if Washington wants to actually rebuild. Right now though, Beal's value could not be higher and I dont think Washington wants to trade him.

I know you can get the most for him. But unless you’re getting lottery picks, you’re pretty screwed with holding onto Wall and getting rid of Beal. I know there is no alternative because finding a taker for Wall is damn near impossible. They should hold onto Beal and re-evaluate things this summer.
