Never going to happen. National defense primarily preserves domestic order and the institutions and social hierarchies that are already in place. Those in power or assimilated enough to value tradition and stability over social parity are voting conservative and supporting the military.

I don't have any popcorn, but I will go to the store since you make it sound like I need some. Better yet, this civil war in the GOP will increase corn commodities. I probably should contact my investment team to invest in corn before the civil war takes place. The point being, not all Republicans agree with the neo-cons on foreign policy.

 

Enough do and realize their political value to avoid the previously insinuated "civil war." And conservatives were supporting assertive national defense since well before Kristol & Co. "Neo-con" is a narrow, distracting label best shuttered with the two wars that made it popular.
