I think he also gets lined up by Harden's barber as well. Harden got Adidas to pay his barber a salary to stay/travel with the team as needed.
You should have started off by telling him you weren't the poster known as DaDakota. He would have fessed up about knowing about this message board.
I ran into EG in a Vancouver casino years ago when he played for New Orleans. The place was practically deserted. He was dressed casually, and watching a friend play low-stakes blackjack. He was the most chill, unassuming guy. You wouldn't even know he was in the NBA if you weren't a fan. The whole thing made me have a lot of respect for him.
He kind of had the same demeanor that he has on the court. Doesn't show much emotion. When I first said I was from Houston, he did give a bit more respect than I think he would have if I said I was just some random guy. He also didn't appear to get offended by the trade comment, especially since I told him that I was against it, and that there is only one ball to go around. I told him that I knew he probably hates taking pics, but that I am a huge rockets fan and that if he was alright with a selfie I'd appreciate it. He said "sure, just lets do it quick so nobody sees". He didn't act annoyed or avoid me, but if you think about him hitting threes in a game, most players smile, do a dance, show emotion. EG just keeps a serious face on and keeps playing. That being said, when I ran into DeAndre Jordan a couple years ago, he really got excited about the Houston thing because he is actually from Houston. We talked for like 20 min and he ignored all of the girls he was with in order to talk ball with me. No pics of that though, so I guess it didn't happen.
Story seemed some what credible but I was like you need a picture or it didn't happen. You gave picture, could be anyone. I looked up the lounge on the google and the background does indeed look like it could be from that lounge. Then the instagram post shows that he is in the location you stated. Either you are way too committed to the lie or it is true. I will give you a pass this time good sir. Congratulations.
Not to speak for @Codman , but the big problem with EG in NO was.... 1) He was injured a lot 2) He signed an offer sheet with Phoenix as an RFA and he DID NOT want NO to match. He said "his heart is in Phoenix." NO, then matched. And it was an awkward couple of years. Remember, EG was a KEY piece for NO in the CP to Clippers trade. NO wanted it to work, obviously, but EG couldn't stay healthy. Also, NO's training staff is not well liked and/or has that great a rep. EG has benefitted with Houston's staff.
Reminds me of the time I met Clyde and said "I'm rooting for you on Dancing With the Stars." Of course I don't watch that crap show, I just panicked in the presence of greatness and it slipped out. He basically ignored the comment and I walked away in awkard shame.
Injuries. They hate injured players. And NO didn't have much to look forward to before Anthony. Story: EGO knew he was done when a fan spit on him after leaving a game during a knee injury. More to come, one day.
And now it's time for another episode of..... S T O R Y T I M E W I T H T H E C O D M A NToday we hear about the fan who was no fan of Eric Gordon.
Wow! SMH on some fans. I read somewhere that EG joined a podcast of pelicans fan forum and changed everyones opinion about him. He might do the samw for CF.
