Did Obama say anything as divisive as stating a need to ban an entire religion from immigrating? Did he make blatant lies that thousands upon thousands of New Jersey Muslims celebrated 9/11... All those comments were made at nationally publicized rallies where the audience all juiced up on their jingoism cheering him on.

Quote me the worst things Obama has said about white people and law enforcement during his campaigns or his presidency and let's compare.

 

Obama is clearly a much better human being than Trump, regardless of where one stands politically.

Not really. I didn't browse this particular forum when this debate was going on. I dont think anyone expected Obama to denounce BLM.

 

any rational person should also know that they should not say the things trump says...especially if they are trying to be the leader of the free world.

never said anything about trump wanting people to murder for him...

but he did say he wants his supporters to beat up protesters and that he would pay their legal fees.
he did say the free press is the enemy of the american people and he has riled up his supporters against them at his rallies to the point that reporters had to have police escort them out of venues.
he did call mexicans rapists and drug dealers who are stealing all your jobs.
he did brag about sexually assaulting women.
he did say islam hates us and called muslims "sick people".
he called to close down mosques in this country and create a database for muslims.
he did call to ban muslims from immigrating to our country.

these things all foster an environment of violence...this kind of rhetoric coming from a president is totally unprecedented and most rational people should be able to recognize how dangerous it is.

its why general mcraven, who orchestrated the bin laden raid said trumps attacks on the free press are "the greatest threat to democracy that i have seen in my lifetime".

Except for Iraq, I never said one bad thing about W Bush and voted for him both times. I don't have a problem admitting that, though it might piss off liberal posters. I felt Bush would do a better job governing- maybe I was right, maybe I was wrong. I didn't really worry about Bush doing something stupid- gaffes aside. I am concerned about Trump's mental state.

 

Human aren't born hater. They learn through other actions and words. Trump's words are dangerous because he's not just anybody, he's the POTUS. This is a pretty basic concept.

the notion that a violent anti-semite would support a jewish guy for president just shows how deranged he is. of course, he is responsible for his own actions, but the fact remains that trump has emboldened racists and anti-muslims.

id like to think i would be someone who stepped in if i saw someone being verbally abusive towards someone else, especially a woman...this incident would definitely make me a lot more cautious. rip to those poor guys...they were just trying to do the right thing and were murdered for it.
