Tonight, haters say, West was not playing, and T-Mac had a good game. This win means nothin. After we beat NJ, Jon Barry says, this is what I mean, NJ is not a quality team! Then we beat Atl, haters say, another weak team....... We went ahead to win all the remaining games. Haters say, Rockets are not coming out of the first round. As the first seed of the west, we beat Denver 4-0. Haters say, Houston is lucky to get the 1st seed, and Denver is not a top team. Rockets will lose at the 2nd round. Then we beat Lakers 4-2. Haters say, Gasol and Kobe are not gelling enough. Then we beat Spurs 4-3. Haters say, Spurs are old. Rockets will lose to Boston at the finals. We went ahead and win the championship. Haters .......... Not until we win the championship, haters will continue hating. And we continue to enjoy our winning.
SI.COM still hating. A look at their NBA homepage shows the headline below the picture of celebrating Rockets, "There's just no stopping the Hornets these days. Behind 41 points from Tracy McGrady, the Rockets dropped the Hornets..." Damn, at least get the right team on the headline!
I love how on Yahoo sports, after every win, there's a headline "Rockets win 17 straight", "Rocket science: Houston wins 18th straight" etc, and right after the headline, a link to Kenny "The Tornado" Smith's analysis: "Rockets not contender." I hope they keep it up, and I hope our team keeps reading it for motvation.
