Is he gonna be on the team next year ? Do we really need him ? I think we have enough forwards, and he is overkill. He is a great shooter, but very one-dimensional. If we are gonna have a one-dimensional player, I would rather have a rebounder(J. williams) or defensive specialist (an Augmon/ michael cooper type). How long is he signed for ? ------------------ "Don't they get cable in Canada ?" Keith olbermann, after watching hakeem block terry catledge's shot 5 times.
I dont think we need him, but I have a feeling he will be back. I mean who is going to teach Langi and Collier how to play like jump shooting white boys ------------------ Fun Police Says: 1. Air-Bullard will probably be brought back, and just before the season starts, come up with the same old back problems. You know the kind of injury that he is able to still practive with the team, and is considered day to day (meaning- the day we loose someone to injury, we can activate him). ------------------
dj, you mean the phantom injuries that afflicted serge zwikker years ago ? ------------------ "Don't they get cable in Canada ?" Keith olbermann, after watching hakeem block terry catledge's shot 5 times.
exactly djones!but you can always use a 3pt shooter on the injured list.Thats 1 thing you can say about bull hes never cold you can put him in at any time of the game and its just 1 shot and everyone knows thats all hes riding on until the wnba announcing day! ------------------
Bullard has 1 more year left on his contract.......he's a free agent next season. ------------------ Miggidy Markell syas: 1. Eastcoast is da sh*t 2. Rockets rule 3. Hip/Hop is dope 4. Buy the new Ruff Ryders album! Miggidy Markell is watching Stay STRAPPED & WATCH ya back or be Assimilated.
Guys, This is going to be Bull's 9th season on the Rockets (11th season overall). He must have pictures of Les doing something reeeal bad. Nothing anyone can do to get rid of this guy. For a player with little- to no athleticism he's survived a long time. I remember 2 years ago he was going to be in the Stoudamire trade, and the year before that the question on clutchcity.com was "Who should we keep? Sam Mack or Matt Bullard?" 3 guesses on who won that poll. ------------------ [This message has been edited by SamCassell (edited August 04, 2000).]
Bullard will probably re-sign to a small contract early in the offseason next year. In case you guys haven't noticed, there is a very good reason Bull has been with the Rockets 9 years - HE IS GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES. Rudy doesn't ask him to go out there and shut down an opponent, he asks him to go out and NAIL THREES, which he achieves with aplomb. Every time he is on the floor, the opposition is worried (quite rightly) about where he is. AND he's 6'11"!! ------------------ Current Rocket's Salary & Contract Info
I thought after his current contract was up that he was heading into broadcasting fulltime. He's currently doing the Comets games, but I think he's got other gigs lined up. ------------------ Bad spellers of the world: UNTIE!
I want Bullard on the team. On IR or whatever. He grew up in my neighbourhood in Des Moines, and we were marble playing pals. I seem to have lost my marbles since then. DaDakota ------------------
I would also would be sad to see Air Bull leave. Sure he is slow and weak, but he can nail the treys and, quite frankly, he is the funniest player we have on our team. The dude cracks me up. ------------------ "Nothing is certain but the unforseen." Some Dude
I like Bullard's versatility, as he can fill in for 3 positions. Also, his contract is up after next year, so he can retire then and help us lower the salary cap. I say- keep Matt around! ------------------ "Laws that forbid the carrying of arms. . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. . .
