Stoked that he's in remission. Can't wait to see him don a Texans uniform and have that added depth, but I won't be expecting anything from him for next season. Given how hard his body took a hit from chemo, you can't recover from that as fast as an off season.

Just want to see him make gradual gains and get back at it in '16.

David Quessenberry will strap on the pads and lay some hits on other pro football players for the first time in ~4 years...

And that is a good thing.

Heard on the radio last week that he was getting reps with the first team. This could really turn out to be one of the best storylines in the NFL this season.

It could also mean we are in deep **** as far as the Oline this year too.

I'm not sure that's the case assuming Duane Brown comes to his senses and reports eventually.

The only real question mark on the O line is right tackle and I've heard a lot of good things about Kendall Lamm. If anything the line should be MUCH deeper at the guard and center spots than they have been in previous seasons.

Where is Xavier Su'a-Filo he was the starter last year and we hear a guy coming back from a very serious illness is getting first team reps at the spot he started last year.. That was my question it has nothing to do with the story of Quesenberry returning for a career/life threatening illness.

Su'a-Filo had arthroscopic surgery in the offseason and is nursing a sore knee.

I hadn't heard that but to be honest I don't really pay that much attention this early in training camp.

I always had high hopes for Queese before the cancer, and following him thru it I thought he had the mental makeup to make that come back. Don't sleep on this dude being one of the top players on the front come season end, and a pleasant surprise.

That's great news. The fact he had surgery and will miss time.

O'Brien did not let me down... knew he'd make sure David got some action.

    I'm pumped!

Texans doing him a favor to pay him 2 games of NFL Roster salary. Nothing to see here. Xmas money. Good for Monday Football talk. Etc.

I’m more excited we have a player named Chunky.

Cheering for Quessenberry is now the only thing I have left to root for on this Texans team for the rest of the season.

I wonder which type he had..hodgkins or non.

Edit: For three seasons offensive lineman David Quessenberry sat out while fighting Non-Hodgkin lymphoma

For NHL, the overall five and 10 year relative survival rates are 69 percent and 59 percent, respectively. For Hodgkin’s lymphoma, the survival rates are usually improved as the five year survival rate is 85 percent and a 10 year survival rate of 80 percent.
