Pure greatness. I had her music on repeat pretty much the entire day at work.

Saw that Charlotte Rae passed away last week, as well.

Listen and watch what she does at the 1:57 mark. Rest in peace, Aretha. There was nobody better.

Exactly. Plus, her phrasing in this version is just heavenly.

Aretha Franklin's music touched my life. I'm very grateful for that, RIP.

Aretha's name is all over everywhere, including sports channels.

    This is bigger than Prince.

This was smart on her part (minus the time she had an IRS tax lien on her house). Can't fall prey to fraudulent music executives and people that contracted her to perform at their events and were known to stiff contractors (in the 80s and early 90s) like Trump.

It's been awesome. Non-stop Aretha since Thursday. Still going on all week. All her songs, not just the hits.

I am not a Tylor Swift fan, but really respect her recognizing Aretha's greatness despite the much-played video interview of Arethat where she only commented that Swift wore pretty gowns.

I wonder how shocked Aretha would have been watching the bishop feel up Ariana at the podium? R-E-S-P-E-C-T

I really didn't listen to her music much, and I never cared for her petty attitude. I hope she Rests In Peace, but I didn't care for her that much, and I thought Dusty Springfield's son of a preacher man was superior to hers.

The sad thing is we've lost:
    Micheal
    Prince
    Ray Charles
    James Brown
    Her
    Whitney

in the last few years. :(

I had only read a description of this, but this really is kind of creepy
