Just a heads-up for those who have 7:30 start in their mind, due to typo in OP of Game Thread.

Game starts at 7pm.



Since there are a lot of pre-season, free trials going on for NBA TV streaming, there should be good links here.

I find it to be safe. Just be careful. Here's some tips.

Quick glossary of terms:

Reddit link: from a reddit page, it is safe to click anything. They will take you to a page with a Video Streaming Window for the game, probably with a standard Youtube looking Play button in the middle

Ad Overlay: These are harmless. Within the area of the video window to play, there will be either completely invisible clickable regions, or obvious Ads being played with countdown timers or X marks to stop the ad. These Ad Overlays are completely safe to click....but the danger is where they take you.

Browser Tabs that the Ads Open: This is the evil. When I talk about things to NEVER CLICK, I'm talking about anything on the browser tabs that the Ad Overlay open.

Tips:

1. Safest way is to use an iPad and Cast/Airplay it to your TV or computer. Less links will support iPads, but this is safest.
   
2. Barring that...from computer browser. turn off pop ups. If it doesn't work with pop ups blocked, pick another link.
   
   VERY IMPORTANT: Don't click anything on the Tabs that get opened by the Ad Overlays. Nothing. Treat every button as evil ... any OK or CANCEL or anything....they are trying to get you to click them. DON"T. Just Close the tab with the Browser X on the Tab itself, and Go back to the window where you first started with the video streaming.
   
   
3. "Ad Overlays" means the streaming video window will first have transparent areas that are links overlaying the play buttons. You do have to click something on the initial video window or the streaming won't begin.
   
4. The Ad Overlays, primarily want to open new tabs. Don't EVER click anything on those new tabs. Just close the tabs with the X on the tab.
   
   REPEAT VERY IMPORTANT: Don't click anything on the Tabs that get opened by the Ad Overlays. Nothing. Treat every button as evil ... any OK or CANCEL or anything....they are trying to get you to click them. DON"T. Just Close the tab with the Browser X on the Tab itself, and Go back to the window where you first started with the video streaming.
   
   
5. If it took you to another tab, ignore all that, dont' click anything on new tabs, and go back to the original tab/window.
6. When you can, go Full Screen with the streaming video. It might not be HD quality at first, as sometimes they need time to buffer.
7. If you don't see the full screen option, click the video again (maybe there is one last ad overlay), or refresh. Sometimes it tries to fool you to think you can't go full screen in order so you see other ads on the page, but you always can.

Another Safety Tip that is overkill, but good for those who aren't convertible navigating the Ad Overlays and Tabs being opened...use a Browser that you typically never use, and delete all history from it and all cookies, etc....like you've never used it before. I use Microsoft Edge in this manner, sometimes and, might also d/l Firefox.

LASTLY: If a new Tab won't let you go back to the original Tab ... DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING. ... you are essentially locked. Try to close the browser. If that fails, use ALT-CTRL-DEL to bring up Task Manager and kill the browser there.​
