I love baseball games... MVP Baseball 2005 was my favorite baseball game of alltime, untill last year's the show game. I am stoked about this year's game that comes out today.. Just hit a walk off HR with Tejada in my first game. I used to be a huge 2K baseball fan..until last year when I played MLB08TS for the first time. Since then, I've been hooked. I still can't hit worth Sh!* but I still love the game.
Man i have a 360 and i love it to death, but im super pissed The Show is PS3 exclusive!!! I havent played an amazing baseball game since MVP 05... i miss that!!
that was on the top of my list of reasons i decided ps3 over 360... the only exclusive game that i cared about was on ps3
From what I understand, the PS2 and PSP versions of MLB The Show are pretty good too, so that might be an option (unless you don't have a PS2 or PSP of course). I remember seeing some PS2 screens a few weeks ago, and I was surprised at how good the game looked. A portable MLB 09 sounds great too. The Sony San Diego team is awesome...well, their baseball team anyway.
you're right.. I played the PSP version in a store and loved it (was surprised that it was solid on a portable)
if you haven't played any "MLB: The Show" series game.. yeah, I think they're worth the buy. Very solid MLB games...solid sports games overall
I haven't jumped into it yet, but if you're a franchise mode nut, they've supposedly made it deeper this year including Rule V draft, 40 man roster and things like that.
So based off this thread I'm assuming MLB 09 The Show is the best baseball game out. The last baseball game I bought was Triple Play 2001, and I loved it! Haven't kept up with baseball games since then.
