I haven't been following this situation but have heard stuff about it. Is it all about Oden vs Durant or is there other stuff going on? How did his stock drop so fast?

I wonder if the Blazers are looking at the free agency class this summer and wonder, "Wow, we blew our load early on Andre Miller..."

They were not going to have cap room this summer with or without Andre Miller.

I honestly forgot their cap situation because I thought if they didn't sign Miller and didn't bring in Camby (thereby not having that extension ever existing), they would have at least $10 million in capspace for this summer?

Paul Allen. He's coming back from africa right before the draft. He calls it his best day of the year.

I know people were saying Pritchard hurt his ability to keep trading by being an arrogant sob, but I would think he's still one of the more competent GMs in the league. I don't think Portland will be able to find someone better.

Wasn't he considered for Executive of the Year award not too long ago?

Portland screwed itself over in the draft taking Martell Webster, Jarrett Jack, and Joel Freeland instead of keeping the #3 pick and taking Chris Paul. I think that was not Pritchard, though.

Even though he took Oden, I still think Pritchard is a good GM. Somebody will pick him up.

Oden appears to be the only blemish on his record, but who knew at the time that Oden is made of glass?

I remember a lot of concerns about his knees during the draft, but I could be wrong.

Extensions for Roy and Aldridge nixed any cap space they would have had this offseason.

Yeah, it doesn't seem too fair to blame him for Oden's poor health. But, when you're at that level, you don't always get to have excuses when the results don't roll in, even when those excuses are legit. Oden was a costly mistake, even if that was uncontrollable.
