After Trump had reversed his position to re-affirm the "one-china" policy, in early March, the Chinese government announced that it has awarded Trump a 10-year trademark on his last name for construction services. last week, China followed up w the announcement that it has approved 38 trademarks to the Trump organization, including for massage parlors and escort services.

A chinese travel agency, state-owned, had previously attempted to buy Hotel Coronado, the ritzy hotel ~on the beach in San Diego, CA. the US Gov't rejected the transaction on National Security grounds, as the hotel is in close proximity to a Naval base.

During the transition, Kusher met w the Russian ambassador, who introduced him to the chairman of Russia's biggest development bank. after this news broke, WH spokesperson, Hope Hick, issued a statement that the meeting was merely to get acquainted, as nothing of substance came out of it

but Reuters contacted the Russian state-owned bank about the meeting; the Bank issued a statement that they had discussed business matters related to the Kushner Companies.

just my guess:

they're talking about re-financing the mortgage on Kushner's skyscraper; but when the Flynn controversy surfaced, Russia had become a HOT potato. that's when Trump flip-floped on the China/Taiwan issue; quid pro quo, China's state-owned travel co stepped up to invest in Kushner's skyscrapper and agreed to to assume $50 Million of the mortgage.
