    He signed a contract to maximize his money with Phoenix. Suns will buy him out in March with understanding that if Houston is in contention then Ariza will return for the Playoff run. Morey knows regular season doesn’t mean crap anymore. It’s all about getting pieces right and being healthy for the playoffs. Cleveland and GSW proved that the last 4 years

    I think that rule applies to a player that's waived as in the originally team that put him on the market

    on what grounds will the suns buy out a player they signed for a single year? did they promise him they will make the playoffs?
    at most they may involve him in a trade to take back more salary with assets in February

    i'm still trying to understand why the F the suns gave this guy $15M for one year. just to be a mentor?? i mean they're likely nowhere near being able to make the playoffs anyways

    so yer sayin that all this hoopla over 65 wins and the #1 seed really didnt matter...? So MDA pushing guys to close out the reg season (sans the very last game) was a stupid bad move that hurt us for the playoffs (ie Luc injury...) with no real benefit?
    It seems the coach of the year should know better.... ;)

    Certain amount of money teams have to spend so maybe just overpaid so they didn’t have to worry about that. That’s why KCP got that deal from the Lakers last year.
