We will have two to three roster spaces depends on if we buyout Derek Fisher or not. Let's talk about some potential targets to fulfill our roster. Anthony Carter, Jeff Adrien, Jermine Taylor, Will Conroy, Ben Uzoh, Derrick Caracter. We obviously need a back-up PG with Lowry out. But which position should we add more depth going to the playoff?

Ish Smith if he is available and then the best sniper you can find.

I'd love to have him, but right now Magic still hold him.

Based on the fact that we now like older guys. I would suggest Brent Price or Matt Maloney. Heck bring Moochie back!!

Rafer? He can't be worse than Jonny Flynn. We'll just have him sign a "no shooting" clause in his contract. This is assuming Flopper doesn't stay with us.

One thing with Rafer...he can at least bring the ball up the court.

Exactly, he knows the organisation, can bring some veteran leadership, also gives us an edge :) I seriously would love him back, he must have some game.
Head can still shoot, in case Martin stays injured / in pain.

Mike Harris was a joke, he won't do us any good.

rafer wouldnt work, he was pissed when we traded him. I remember him saying "I dont care if they traded me but they traded me for a non starter". Something along those lines, plus rafer wouldnt be happy sitting and watching lowry and dragic.

That is what happens when you give a whole lot of money to people that can't handle it. I think Sports Illustrated wrote an article a few years back saying something like 60% of NBA players file for bankruptcy after 5 or so years after they stop playing.

I googled that and here is the link:

Skip is always my favorite player in the NBA, but I think he is out of shape now. Was he playing for D-Fenders in the D-Legue a month ago and then he disappeared.
If he is still in shape now, I say bring him back. He is a good floor General.

If Fisher gets bought out, we'd be in need of a 3rd string PG, SG and PF.

I guess you still go for talent first, although the interest in Anthony Carter might suggest otherwise.
Then again, the Carter situation is a bit different as we actually need somebody to contribute right now, with Lowry still out a few more games.
