Here is your potential roster once we get to July. What would your primary line-ups be vs. LH and RH Starting Pitchers?

    C. Castro / Conger
    1B. Carter / Singleton
    2B. Altuve
    SS. Correa
    3B. Lowrie / Valbuena
    OF. Springer, Marisnick, Rasmus, Tucker
    DH. Gattis

    Here is mine...

    RHP - OPS vs RHP
    R - 2B - Altuve - .687
    S - 3B - Lowrie - .738
    R - RF - Springer - .694
    R - DH - Gattis - .736
    L - LF - Tucker - .982
    L - 1B - Singleton - 1.326 (minors)
    R - SS - Correa - .934 (minors)
    L - CF - Rasmus - .772
    L - C - Castro - .729

    LHP - OPS vs LHP
    R - 2B - Altuve - .986
    S - 3B - Lowrie - 1.576
    R - RF - Springer - .966
    R - DH - Gattis - .535
    R - SS - Correa - 1.405 (minors)
    L - LF - Tucker - 1.072
    R - 1B - Carter - .548
    L - C - Castro - .661
    R - CF - Marisnick - .524

No matter how you order them, these line-ups are STRONG. The next few years are going to be a blast. Now Luhnow, go get us a SP! We can worry about a real closer in the offseason.

They won't put Correa in a disadvantageous spot in the lineup. He'll be somewhere from 2-5 and protected by a power bat.

I'm not sure what you are saying. In my opinion there aren't any real disadvantageous spots in these line-ups. I'm sure they'd love for him to be the 3 hole hitter, but he will have to build up to that.

I think they start him out, initially, 6th or later. I think we'll wait a week or so to put him in the 2-5 slots. This initial decision has more to do with not not putting additional pressure on him than anything.

I like it, though I would give Tucker some playing time at DH/1B if he continues to hit like he has now (or if Singleton and Carter flop).

Definitely would love to have a #2 starter in there - McHugh/Obit/Feldman/McCullers is a great 3-4-5-6.

When Correa comes up will/can Lowrie play 3B? If he has the arm, I'd def put him there in place of Valbuena. Another option could be to play Lowrie at 1B... he is clutch and hits above .avg, something this team needs in the lineup!!!

Can Gattis still catch? Would certainly make for a fun lineup, even if the other team steals 100 bases on us.

    C- Gattis
    1B - Carter
    2B - Altuve
    3B- Lowrie
    SS - Correa
    LF - Tucker
    CF- Marisnick
    RF - Springer
    DH/PH - Singleton

It's not worth risking his health, though.

Castro is Ausmus 2.0 with a better bat. Calls a good game and is good in the clubhouse.

Well, I can at least find solace in his .720+ OPS this year. It won't lead the league for catchers, but its respectable.

Castro is not near being equal to Ausmus defensively.

I was just having fun with potential lineups - don't expect Gattis to play catcher except in late inning games/emergency situations.
