They start talking about the Houston Rockets around 18:20 http://www.blazersedge.com/2015/2/1...azers-trades-damian-lillard-lamarcus-aldridge
Blazer fans don't really have many rivals, so we fill that spot for now. They had the Sonics but the NBA took that from them. I'm sure Rocket fans would list them in this order 1. Jazz 2. Mavs 3. Lakers Although I don't think Laker fans consider Rockets rivals. I personally do not like the Blazers, but that's just because of last year. If they end up playing the Mavs and lose then I couldn't really care actually. If the list was just for this year though. 1. Mavs 2. Blazers 3. Jazz, because F those guys.
It's funny because even though we just had an intense playoff series against them in which it still leaves a bitter taste, I have no hate, i dont even feel anything for them. Why are they worried about us? Lol
The fact that they literally dedicated a podcast/article to talk about teams they hate is embarrassing in and of itself.
^This, I feel like they are irrelevant even though they have a good record. You never hear about them in the media aside from Lilliard pouting about all star. No one is an MVP candidate. My favorite version of the Blazers were the Jailblazers they at least were entertaining.
When they had Rasheed, Bonzi Wells, a young Zach Randolph, and Ruben Patterson, who had the audacity to call himself the "Kobe-Stopper", who got clocked in practice by the aforementioned Z-Bo.
I took the bait and clicked. It's basically who do they hate more? Harden or the good ole days against the Lakers. I will say that 99% of them despise Harden. I would think that is a common theme among most teams in the NBA though. Harden is a very hated player outside of Houston. Seems like he plays a brand of basketball that is very difficult to watch, and at times when he doesn't even try to finish, I would have to agree. But for the most part Harden is an absolute joy to watch. His cross court passes are crisp and on point, and his step back is mystifying. I guess fans just remember the free throws he took, and not all the beautiful passes and stepbacks he hits. Oh well, to each his own
I 100% understand the hate for the Jazz, and I harbored it myself for a very long time. But somewhere along the line that hate was replaced by pure apathy. Maybe when their worth it my hate will be rekindled. That said, I'll always hate: Hornacek, Ostertag, Boozer, Harpring, Okur, and Kirilenko. And I hate (but respect) Stockton and Malone.
