Rivers is a solid NBA player who will provide much needed pg depth. They needed a guy like Rivers even if Paul was healthy.
He had a great 4th quarter but I felt he was running from the ball the first 3 quarters. He passed up driving lanes and hid in the corner alot. Good game though and I'm happy to have him.
Probably trying to fit in and not overdo things, you'd want him to be more aggressive, but also not get overly comfortable
For someone who only had one practice with the team, Rivers played really well. After all of the previous mess with him if he continues like this I think he’ll be a really good fit for the team.
This doesn't feel real. It feels like in wrestling when a face is on the mat, staring down a 3 count and a heel comes in to save him. Now Rivers turned baby face and we are all kinda shocked. The only way this gets weirder is if the Rockets somehow get RoLo.
Feeling better about it. Actually looks competent. Guess this is what a role player who has made more than minimum wage in the NBA looks like.
Austin Rivers line in the first Rockets game: 31 minutes, 10 points on 6FG, 2/3 3PT, and +6. Not bad at all! Rivers is playing better than Gordon, House, and Green.
He's always done well covering quicker guards. Basically what we would've gotten from KCP but we got it "for free".
