I know I know, it's way too early to be talking playoffs... But these guys already made predictions, so

    what we are up against..

Remaining Schedule Strength (6th toughest schedule based on rankings)

Rankings (12/25) -Arturo Galleti @ wagesofwins

"Point Margin per Game: Pts scored by team -Pts scored by opponent divided by games played
Home court Point Margin per Game: Point Margin per game due to the schedule and homecourt advantage.
Adjusted Point Margin per Game: Point Margin per Game -Home court Point Margin per Game. Schedule independent point margin (neutral site at sea level)
Adjusted Opponent Point Margin: The average Point Margin per Game of a teams opponents.
Real Point Margin (RPM): Point Margin per Game -Home court Point Margin per Game +Adjusted Opponent Point Margin. Expected Point Margin at a neutral site against perfectly average opposition. This is the Number I use to rank.
Neutral Site Win % : A win projection using the real point margin and the relationship between point margin and win% ( RPM/31 + .500 is a quick shorthand but not quite right, don’t worry I’m in the process of writing this up)

Keep in mind that this is a guess (a very scientific one but still a guess) at the relative strengths of teams based on the data of the season to date."

"The Biggest x-factor to me of the remaining teams is the Houston Rockets. Houston features one of the youngest rotations in the league and should improve as the season goes along."

If this projection is correct.. with 46 wins, and a 6th seed...

-We would square off with the San Antonio Spurs in the 1st round,

-Face the winner between LAC v GS in the 2nd,

-then the ultimate winner of these brackets in the WCF...
OKC v UT, MEM v DEN

    other odds.....

"Odds Each NBA Team Lands a Top Free Agent in 2013" -Greg Swartz @ BR

    Houston: 60%

"The Rockets are a team just begging for another star.

With $26 million available to spend, they could certainly add one.

With James Harden on board, the Rockets already have one established star to build around. Jeremy Lin, Omer Asik, Chandler Parsons and others are nice, but how good would a Dwight Howard look in that starting lineup?

Houston has proven they aren't shy when it comes to making big moves, something they'll certainly be looking to do this free agency."

I think OKC, Clippers, Grizzlies, Spurs and yes the Lakers are a lock. That leaves 3 spots open among Rockets, Nuggets, TWolves, Warriors, Jazz, Trailblazers and MAYBE the Mavs....though I doubt they can get it together in time to make it in. That's 3 spots for 6 or 7 teams.

Warriors/Blazers/Mavs all have tougher schedules than us. I'm hoping we push the Twolves out...thus pissing Klove off even more. I like our chances if the Rox can continue to play smart ball.

Thanks for sharing. I've decided to work on my acting skills instead of trying to chase victoria's secret angels.

Hemorrhoids on the title made me read this. ;)

I think the odds should be higher than that. I dated an ex raiders cheerleader and now she does car import modeling, and I felt I was one in a million. and she is not even a supermodel

I don't think a 7th or 8th spot is out of the question, but we've got to keep taking care home games and the eastern conf.
