How about Craig Ehlo? Would have at least saved him from starring in all the Jordan highlight videos.

The main player I felt really bad about losing at the time, and even today wish could have been approached differently, was Hakeem Olajuwon. It's not so much what he could or couldn't do as a player at the end of his basketball career, but his entire career should have been spent in a Houston uniform.

All Morey did was back up what CD was saying. It all actually started with JVG pouting because he missed out on Brandon Roy. By pouting and not staying focused they totally missed the fact a projected number 1 talent fell in there lap.

JVG and Dawson had there finger prints all over the Battier deal. Battier is more of what JVG likes to coach where as Rudy Gay is not. All Morey did was back what they were doing at the time. He was the new man on the block and did not want to run anyone wrong at the time.

Just look back at the history of both GM's, Morey usually makes good decisions with players and picks where as CD does dumb ****.

Every move on this board that people dislike are CD moves. CD made decisions based on that day where as Morey makes moves to set up his next move. Basically Morey is your champion chess player and CD is your champion connect four player

Yep, that one hurt, but it taught me to let go of traded players.

Lol that reminds me of a game against Utah early on in my Rockets watching career. I remember calvin/bill commenting on the fact that both Maloney and Stockton were Irish. I was immediately thrilled to discover this all-Irish matchup :)

sam cassel and robert horry. Obviously hind sight being 20/20 . but had we kept those guys and not gotten barkely... the following year with sam at point and pippen at 3 .. we would have been a more balanced team.. also who knows maybe then clyde would have stuck around .. that would have been some team..

    cassel, drexler, pippen, horry, dream

we prob could have one one or two more championships

i was gonna say the same thing, technically we never had rudy .. rudy was drafted by us for grizzles... lets see if he does nething to justify his max contract.. one that will stick out like a sore thumb once the new CB is signed

We did keep Sura... he just couldn't recover to play again.

Landry for sure out of this era... and Mobley. I honestly believe if the Mac trade had been done without giving up Mobley we would of gone to a finals at least. His defense was very under rated.

Nice, admitting 3 of those is pretty gutsy. And possibly slightly confusing on the Bonzi part.

He was as much a Rocket as Michael Jordan. If you pick Gay over Jordan....
