Weird move... If you have commited to the USA team, sounds weird to me to leave it 2 weeks before the start of the tournament for a minor ankle sprain... But good for the Rockets.

Shouldn't have been in there in the first place.. you're 34 year old, just enjoy the summer off.

Players above a certain age should just banned from joining team USA unless they're on a mediocre team.

Also, we need to get a solid backup pf or we're really screwed if PJ goes down. We've been playing with that risk for years now.

Why would you want to start a 35 year old PF who’s short. Because of hustle plays? What makes him a championship player, the championships he doesn’t have? I’m sorry but at least 10 PF are better than him. Y’all fall in love too much with these role players. Tell me what contender can he start on right now?

Lakers for sure. Not the Clips since they have so much forward depth, unless they run PG at the two. Then he’d start. He’d start on the Bucks for sure. Not the Sixers because of their front court talent. Just because 10 PF are better than him doesn’t mean he can’t start lol

Being a thicc player, shouldn't PJ suffer cankle injuries rather than ankle injuries?

And ironically, Jason Biles -- The Houston Rockets Trainer -- is with Team USA.

Undersized for what? There is not defensive matchup that he is undersized for. Literally not a top 10 concern for this team

its literally the only concern for this team. We have 1 person who can competently defend 3 and 4 and we are forced to play him at center half the time

Hopefully this moves PJ to the bench role he is best suited to fill on a championship team. This could be a blessing.

lol ok where would he start on the lakers front court with Lebron, AD and Kuz? And who are the bucks sitting for PJ Tucker? Look. I love PJ but this is another player that stole CF hearts so much that people think he’s a starter on a title team and that’s just not the case, he’s a 6-4 35 year old PF that averages 7ppg plays and is a good defender. That’s pretty much it

    His scrimmage team got wrecked
He was just standing in the 3 point line doing nothing. This smells like a fake injury to me.
