We'll see how long he's OK with being second fiddle in Miami. He is a narcissist after all, you know.
if any of y'all think lebron is going to be 2nd fiddle ON THE COURT (when they're actually playing), well, you must not watch a lot of basketball. dude is not only the best player on the planet, but the most dominant. how the hell are you going to be 2nd fiddle when you are a step above the league?
At first I didn't agree with your post But then I saw that it was bolded, so obviously it must be both correct and important
Fortunately for me, I wasn't talking about on the court. I was talking about where it matters to a narcissist: off the court attention. Wade will still be the main guy in Miami since he's been there longer and already brought the city a Championship. Will that change? Maybe. If it doesn't, we'll see how strong the Superfriendship is.
most dominant player shouldn't struggle mightily against a young team like the thunder or single coverage for the most part v. boston in the playoffs. mr. bryant is the best "winner" right now with 5 rings. that doesn't correlate to best player nor most dominant. jordan was the best/most dominant years before he won his first ring.
His numerous injuries didn't have any effect on him during that 1st rd.? Of course after he got his knee drained Kobe was back to being that dominant force again - not making excuses about injures unlike some players (LeBron's elbow) When's that surgery taking place? Oh yeah right. And single coverage? There were many occasions where Boston wanted to take the ball out of Kobe's hands and make other players make shots. So that's kaput as well. LeBron might be the most talented, but I'll take a killer instinct, drive to win, and complete basketball player/winner over an egoistical, super-talent, who has yet to win a finals game any day.
So Kobe isn't the best player in the league bc he had a slow start to the playoffs. He dominated in game 6 of that series and then probably had the best two consecutive series he has ever had against Phoenix and Utah. To say he struggled against the Celtics is a bit of an overstatement. His series shooting % ended up not all that great bc he had an awful shooting game in game 7 but his stats for the first six were pretty good.
so you're taking paul pierce over lebron then? he has a final MVP and has won final games? what about ray allen? if the past few champions have shown anybody anything, it takes a team to win. celtics won with 3 main guys plus good role players. spurs won with 3 main guys plus good bench. pistons won with 5 extremely good starters. lakers won with 2 main guys and an absurd amount of size and length.
