personally i am not a huge fan of getting amare here, but that is a great photoshop clutch.

shoring up a play making wing (not Ron Artest mind you) and getting a backup C (though amare could fit this role) is my biggest concerns

    Wow! Looks great!

Amare is definitely one of the more attractive options out there. What would be even sweeter is if we could steal Jason Richardson or Barbosa too to fill our backcourt void. I think either one would be great for this team, and Amare would thrive with Yao and also be insurance for when he goes down AND he could play the backup center role. Hopefully we hold on to Scola, but I have no problems giving up Landry. And if we give up Brooks we better damn well get one of J-Rich or Barbosa.

Just say no to Shaq or Nash, though.

What do we have to offer? Scola/Landry+Cook+Battier+Barry looks fine to me.

He did fine playing Center before Shaq came along. He would be great running as the center for us with our fast-pace 2nd unit when Yao needs rest ala the the former SUNS.

just wondering how good Amare can play

    1) in a half court offense

    2) without nash

    3) with Yao ( Yao is not shaq)

I would think Mcgrady would be involved in a deal for a guy as big as Amare, for sure. His contract alone is worth more than the guys you mentioned, except maybe Scola.

I'd love to get Rip Hamilton, too. I think that would have to be a three-way if Mcgrady was involved.

This is bad. I really don't want Amare. I think we won't fit and will be a b**** with his touches and all that since he will be in a contract year. Furthermore, I don't like the fact that we would give up our youth for a one year rental..

Amare will likely be a one year rental then he'll bounce to New York thereafter. Only person I'll be willing to trade on the team for him is Landry + Tmac, other player we have like Scola and Brooks will resign with the Rox am sure, but if you trade them away it's like saying we don't want you anymore.

Yes Yao isn't Shaq which is good. Yao could give Amare more space cause he has a jumpshot unlike Shaq.

in a half court offense, Amare would still be effective cause that's what Terry Porter made the suns into when he was there.

And amare not being able to play without Nash is complete a myth.

Brooks, Landry, and TMac would get you Stoudemire and Nash.

Very nice photoshop - maybe go all the way and put some yellow stripes around the top for the new uniforms?

I wouldn't mind the deal if Nash was included in a deal for Amare and then Amare flipped for Carter.

I'm not that high on the Rockets trading one chemistry killing mouth cancer for another.

I don't entirely understand why some people are down on Amar'e. Sure, he's a bit of a jerk, but I wouldn't mind him being our jerk. Imagine an uptempo lineup with him playing center. Gives Yao a great backup.

Starting lineup, you work it out. Bring Yao up high sometimes, let Amar'e have the lane.
