Does that make that much of a difference for the Spurs? Who knows, but it gives us a shot. Spurs will have only 4 home games compared to 11 road games from now through February (Including 8 road games in a row) One can only hope they faulty a bit and perhaps go no better than 9-6 Mon, Jan 23 @ Brooklyn 7:30 PM 959 available from $29 Tue, Jan 24 @ Toronto 7:00 PM NBATV 668 available from $47 Fri, Jan 27 @ New Orleans 8:00 PM 1,562 available from $12 Sun, Jan 29 vs Dallas 7:00 PM 1,196 available from $37 Tue, Jan 31 vs Oklahoma City 8:30 PM 1,399 available from $46 FEBRUARY OPPONENT TIME (ET) TV TICKETS Thu, Feb 2 vs Philadelphia 8:30 PM 1,487 available from $14 Sat, Feb 4 vs Denver 9:00 PM 922 available from $39 Mon, Feb 6 @ Memphis 9:30 PM TNT 1,540 available from $12 Wed, Feb 8 @ Philadelphia 7:00 PM 2,919 available from $21 Fri, Feb 10 @ Detroit 7:30 PM 1,309 available from $24 Sun, Feb 12 @ NY Knicks 3:30 PM 2,527 available from $123 Mon, Feb 13 @ Indiana 7:00 PM TNT 49 available from $37 Wed, Feb 15 @ Orlando 7:00 PM 885 available from $49 Fri, Feb 24 @ LA 10:30 PM 2,831 available from $39 Sun, Feb 26 @ Los Angeles 3:30 PM 499 available from $79
Would be nice. But as they say, we have to control our own destiny. This Memphis game will go a long way to rebuilding some of the confidence we lost to Minnesota, Miami, and Golden State recently. With Lamarcus Aldridge still around, I don't see much of a drop off for the Spurs. I hope I'm wrong.
They still beat the Cavs tonight, bet they will go like 9-3. Rockets shot them selves in the foot with 4 quick losses, that created quite a bit of seperation between us and Spurs. On the plus side Clips have Griffin and Paul out, they are creating a nice seperartion between us as well. I'll take 3 seed, while battling the Cavs to have a top 3 record in the league.
The #3 seed will be ours before seasons end. But if there is any sliver of hope for the #2 seed this stretch of games would be it.
Pau Gasol is a very good passing big man. That's one of the things I hate the most, is how good a passer he is. Much better defender, too. I mean,,,33-9 as the starter. Let's hope David Fool's Gold Lee doesn't improve upon that.
I just think Lee moves his body and the ball a bit better, he fits what they are trying to do. Never said Pau was a bad player, he is a very good one, I just don't think you lose anything with Lee in there, it changes their team a bit, but Lee is a fine basketball player - and is super smart...so I don't see it hindering them that Pau is out. DD
Neither is a defensive stud, Lee allegedly has a newfound commitment to defense since he's got there. Seems to fit better from the limited minutes I've seen of him in the new role. Gasol is slow in his old age.
They have that Dedmon guy to play in place of Gasol. All these other teams seem of a have a competent 2nd or 3rd string 7footer to spare.
