m and $5m for each of the next 2 years. Aside from superstars and rookie contracts, is there a better (for the team, and crappier for the player) contract out there in the NBA?
Hope we extend Bev in offseason. He better be a Rocket as long as Harden is here. He is improving every year on his 3pt%. Perfect compliment. We really need to hunt for our Ariza replacement though.
Somebody should deff add the other 6 0's to $6 because if Pat Bev made $6 there be some issues with the veterans minimum in the cba

Beverly is about an eight million dollar player at the most I respect his progress just as much as anyone but he started as anyone but he is an average player You guys are distorted because of of low he started
steph's MVP seasons were around 11m per season. james johnson made 4m this season. isaiah thomas made 6.5 this season, makes the same next year. there are a couple of bargains out there, but beverly has definitely given us great value for how little we pay him, relatively.
$6 doesn't even buy him Taco Bell Chicken despite being Taco Bell Pollo Loco All Star Skills contest champion
Not based on how much the scrubs with low impact are making today. If Pat was a FA today, teams would be competing for him and would drive the price up. Lebron would have come to Pat with a blank check. We were just lucky: 1) To negotiate a deal with him right before the market went bananas and he and his agent realized that they could have easily asked for more IMO 2) Pat truly wanted to stay in Houston and let it be known. I think he was stupid to show his cards and Morey took advantage of it 3) We were able to negotiate with him BEFORE he had an awesome year. Injuries had slowed him down previously. When healthy, this guy has always shown the ability to change the complexion of the game simply by his grit.
Probably a fair value in 2009 NBA-bucks, when Mehmet Okur, Mo Williams, and Quentin Richardson were making about that much to serve similar "X-factor on a playoff team"/"big scorer on a garbage team" roles. But things have inflated so much in the last five years. Solomon Hill is making 11 million. Jared Dudley is making 10 million. Evan Turner is making 16 million. Nikola Pekovic is making 12 million and I think he might literally be in a cryo storage pod right now. There's no way Beverley doesn't rate at least 12 mil, which is less than 1/8 of a team's cap space (comparable to $6 mil ten years ago).
I thought this thread is about a story of Bev being summoned for jury duty and somehow he intimidated the guy to confess in the court and then he got paid $6.
