Parsons is every bit a tradable asset the Rockets must utilize. His value right now is as high as it will get, and we should not hesitate to flip him for a nice upgrade. There are Rockets fans that consider Parsons a fan favorite but when you look closely at those fans, and the listen to reasons they want to keep Parsons, the consensus is not so much basketball-related as it is for non-basketball reasons.

Most of those fans are on the fringe side of the Rockets fanbase....similar to the Jeremy Lin fanbase. Lin Only Fans seems to put Lin above the team and fail to look at his shortcomings and glaring holes on defense as well as his inability to merge his play with Harden; to defer to Harden. And now, Harden and Howard. No room for Linsanity.

With the Parsons fans, it much more personal. For the same reasons they would promote a soft, Euro-scrub like DMO over T.Jones for the starting 4 spot, is the same reason they favor McHale as Coach because McHale values Euro talents and the likes of Parsons, Delfino, Casspi. You see their thinking?

Their views lead them to put a premium on players like that where a lot of diehard Rockets fans are just speechless at the comical-thought of overvaluing talents like that. The worst I heard of the Parsons/McHale fanbase is that Parsons is that "3rd max player" with Harden and Howard.

Speechless, to say the least. Smh.

With Superstar players like LaMarcus Aldridge, Nene Hilario.....just those two alone, boasts the sort of pedigree you'd call a 3rd max. Not so much of the salary they command but their performance is the type of talents only a few can do and rarely does it comes from the stock of talents the Parsons/McHale fans sees as "3rd max" types. Fringes......just like I said. A fringe fanbase.

We should hope Morey has the gut to flip Parsons because our team as is, will be targeted as the Enemy Team (because we took Howard from the Lakers hahah) by the media; both ESPN and L.A. affiliated media. We need another Superstar player and Parsons is certainly not him. If (knock on wood) Parsons suffers an injury, his stock sinks worst than if Ray Allen suffers an injury in his old age. And that's what worries me the most because outside of Parsons, not too many of our guys are worth trading as their potential can go much further than Parsons'.

Another point, we will certainly need another player to couple with Parsons just to get team interested to bait on our trade proposal. And our next trade pieces should start with Parsons, DMO and Lin. Asik is safe for now since Howard values him more than the other 3.
