Parent makes racist remark at school meeting about racism

Pretty sad for the racist man's son. He put out his own statement saying that his father's racist statement in no way represent his own. What a sad thing for that kid to have to publicly distances himself from his father's racism. That has to be a horrible position for a kid to find himself.

So if you or your parents immigrated to this country, you shouldn’t complain about racism. Just go back where you came from.

I bet the percentage of people who believe this has gone up quite a bit during the last 4 or 5 years.

Yes, from my own personal experience this is true. I've had people I served with who literally were with me when I almost had my leg blown off tell me why I don't just move back to India if I don't like the current president. And I'm not even from India.

 

Emboldened by no physical consequences. Well, I'm gonna be excited to heard about what happens to him financially and emotionally.

 

His "white people don't feel safe in black neighborhoods" is so out of touch and lacks zero context.

Ya I can understand where you are coming from. **** like this happens on a daily occurrence. No need for a new thread each time it happens.

But seeing as I have personal experience with this type of behavior it pulls my heart strings a bit where I might not be completely objective.

 

I hear ya! If the OP wasn't blatantly trolling, I'd have a different opinion.

 

Not only him, but he spoke for all ten(!) of the guy's children and his (ex?)wife.

 

The take away here shouldn't be about a single isolated incident, but rather how that incident is reflective of a growing pattern in our society of hostility against immigrants or children of immigrants. The latter is open to debate, but for some of us it is a significant issue worthy of discussion.

 

We are a country of immigrants - apparently some DUMBASSED white ones who forget that.

With you on that. Someone in Michigan said something racist? So what? I mean, I see it's an issue for the families of Liberty School, but they're 1200 miles away from me. Local issues are local, and sometimes you don't need the entire country to be paying attention to every dumbass.
