This cannot be real. It smells like a total hoax, like that story about the "blond hair gene" getting bred out of the human race by 2202.

 

This IS real. It has a lot to do with the toxicology of the parasite. It makes men try to kill themselves (in order to be eaten by something else) and and women try to fertilize to pass the parasite on to future generations. Toxicology is such an interesting field if you ask me.

 

Okay, I admit that I'm not an expert. But the whole story sounds fishy. At the very least, it's got to be exaggerated, right. I mean a parasite that makes men stupid and turns women into sex kittens. It sounds like the plot of a bad, direct to dvd comedy.

Some investigators believe that this parasite might be related to schizophrenia as well.

 

That is wild. I saw a show on Animal Planet that talked about another parasite that takes over an ant's brain and makes it latch on to the end of a blade of grass by its mandibles so it can be eaten by and thus infect a rabbit.

 

well, i don't find 40% of women to be attractive or sex kittens. of course, i could just be a member of the 40% dumb males. probably...
