Count me in the group that doesnt have any issues with Charlie being critical. He isnt blindly critical...he gives praise when its due. Given the state of Houston sports over the last 20 years, I dont see how it's possible to not be critical of Houston sports more often than not. He's about as fair as it gets when it comes to giving his thoughts and opinions.

I enjoy listening to him. I miss him this Astros season. I just found it pretty ridiculous people saying that he wasn't a little up his own ass.

Compared to what he was replaced with he is the GOAT tho.

He was always a smarmy yankee prick, but he was *our* smarmy yankee prick. I loved listening to him cut off dumbass Hempstead caller #15 and knowledge-bomb the listening audience, not that it really helped, but it was cathartic to know that he was there to say the things I/we couldn't.

My favorite was how he refused to call people by their radio nickname when they called in.

I like Pallillo but he always seems to be a bit too cerebral. He comes off as a little too forced intellectual for my tastes A'la Dennis Miller.

Gives me a headache after listening for an hour or two.

Pallillo a ******* national treasure. Could have been Frasier Crane but he was 7 inches too short and nasally as a church choir boy after a balloon fight.

Banged Laura Freynolds right out from underneath sacboy and took a massive dump on Rich Lord's head. Told 610 to suck him dry like an OG and went to 790 back when it was complete **** and did it out of spite... and for the $$$ of course, he's only human.

That disgusting shock jock wannabe Innes should be glad he was allowed to hold CP's jock for a few minutes. His bulbous ass would definitely keep the seat warm as long as a peat moss fire burns.

He's like Howard Stern mixed with Jim Rome, but none of the actual hilarity and masterful deadpan delivery of Stern or the frat-boy caller horseplay of Rome.

    Probably 1560 or 975.

Ken Hoffman worked for Gow back in the day. He's leaving the Chron to work for CultureMap. Who owns CultureMap? Gow does.

Does 1560 still have local programming? My guess is 97.5

    Agreed.

He was singing the Astros' praises non-stop leading into last season. He was talking World Series. That's a really weird thing to do for a guy who supposedly ***** on Houston teams at every opportunity.

With the Astros being probably world series favorites he would be radio gold right now. They need to fire Chris Gordie and whoever else works at 790.
