I wouldn't want to lose Capela but we do need some bodies with some sand in their pants. I love our summertime additions so far but we are still a bit of a donut team.

 

Potato backing off strong now. Basically taking a gamble on a 50/50 shot. We all knew he was Rockets or Cavs bound and that Morey has been thirsty for Melo for years. We also knew that he was likely to come here in a trade and Cleveland in a buyout. The only "new" information he provided was "immanent" and Portland, both of which he is backing off of now and hanging his insider hat solely on "Melo will be a Rocket" praying he's right. I mean it's a pretty safe hill to die on and a good gamble to grab followers and prove himself "legit", but again he's no more an insider than Ochocinco at this point. I can no longer worship at the alter of Potato (though if Ryno ends up in Portland I will retract all of this).

 

I didn't take those comments as backing off. He has been holding really firm that it is Houston and he has several backers who claim he is legit as it seemed to prove he was close with Courtney Lee.

I think its pretty obvious that we are the only logical trade. I do not see the Cavs giving up Love for a lateral move. I think Carmelo would be that as his scoring would help the Cavs but rebounding would be a different story.

Ian Begley has vouched for him.
If you go back and look through his tweets he has definitely had insider information. It seems like he has at least 1 player source (seems like Courtney Lee, but could be wrong). Thing about player sources is they aren't directly connected to the front office so what they are going to have is not always fully fleshed out.

In the last few days: Potato reported that Courtney Lee was told personally by the Knicks that he would be kept if the Hardaway match happened and that the Knicks saw him being able to play with Jr. The media was mostly reporting that Lee would be traded. Then this weekend everyone reversed and reported that the Knicks wanted to keep Courtney Lee. Lined up exactly with what Potato said.

Now Ian Begley is reporting the same thing Potato reported a few days ago. Melo has been told he'll end up in Houston, other players on the Knicks have heard that, but the deal just isn't there yet.

 

And now for a potato-headed Bobby related diversion...

 

It appears that he has a friend who plays for the Knicks, or is connected therein. It happens.

Cavs lurking? I am not ready to cede anything nor am I, personally, up for mortgaging much, as in too much, for CMA. Is Ryno/Llull/EGo/ - CMA/Lee too much?

 

This guy has called many knick trades and signing. No reason to doubt him. He broke the trade talk news before anyone else and before that "Trades were dead" I don't feel like he's bsing at all. Sounds genuine as hell. It's not like he has all the details anyway.
