I just dont understand how an organization could handle a trade as poorly as the knicks. I take for granted how well our organization is run where leaks rarely occur and decisions normally pan out well. The Knicks have destroyed a perennial all stars value to the point of him finally getting in shape just to leave NY. Its a sad time to be a knicks fan
Being a Knicks fan has been depressing for a very long time. As a Rockets fan, I know things have not always been smooth and we been filled with disappointments for the past 20+ years, but at least we have stayed competitive a majority of the time.
Not only that. The destroyed his trade value and have the AUDACITY to be picky about what they get back from trading him. The Knicks are a joke. It seems they are purposely dysfunctional at times
How far back does this go? Back in the day, they outbid themselves and gave Allan Houston that gigantic contract. They hired Isaiah "Smile Bright" Thomas ("don't go under the basket" / "I did not order the code red"). They THROW money at their hires (hey, I know it's New York, but you guys don't need to pay your coaches and execs $10+ million per season). They hired (now this is going back a bit) Don Nelson as coach when everyone knew that he didn't play traditional centers (how's that feel, Patrick Ewing?)
