Book it! They got the height against Heat. They have a great great Defense. They have guards that can score. Looks like Granger will be coming off the bench hence making their bench better than the Heats.
last year they lost to the Heat without Chris Bosh. but last year Paul George was just a role player. high upside but huge flaws on both ends. this is a different team. it's like comparing the Pistons pre-Rasheed and with Rasheed. i wouldn't bet on the pacers vs. the Heat but i do think there's a solid chance.
Honestly. This pacers squad is way different than last years. George is an All Star and they have Hibbert who is a former all star. Everyone has a set role and Granger would do good coming off the bench for Stephenson. Also Stephenson did not play last year and this dude is a stud.
The Bulls a few years ago were better than this Pacers team with a legit superstar. That Bulls team had no chance. This Pacers team has no chance. It will be fun and physical though.
I thought I heard espn say Danny Grranger was out for the rest of the game with a right knee injury. Same knee as before...
Paul George is a bonafide star...Its like Trevor Ariza, but can actually score...Pacers are clearly a darkhorse team...but everything runs through Miami...case and point how they were down by 17 in the third and came back to win it...Granted it was against the Knicks....its still quite impressive...
Indiana is the no.2 now. though the way both the Pacers and the Knicks finished their games tonight, both deserve to stay no.3 for a bit longer....
Don't be so quick to forget. When LeBron is hungry he can turn it on. Remember when everyone was counting out the Heat in the Pacers series? LeBron and Wade both turned it on last second and demolished the Pacers by themselves. Remember when the Celtics pushed the Heat over the edge? LeBron responded with the greatest game of his career. The Heat are coming out the West, its merely a foregone conclusion.
Really, Lebron has yet to get his game face on. Last year was the first time I have really seen Lebron get his game face on (even when he scored the 23 points in a row vs Detroit he didn't have that look he did last year). Lebron is a huge X-factor and won't be so easy to stop.
