You know what else millennials can't do?

Churn butter, knit socks, light a kerosene lamp, re-shoe horses, start fire with sticks...

It is the failure of the can opener.

How terrible is it that the people in this country who are in charge of crafting legislation that affects the can opening industry don't even seem to have a basic understanding of how can openers and food preservation in general works?

    Oh wait...

Canned food is unhealthy. No surprise they could open a can.

Nothing in a can is as healthy as fresh. Does Whole Foods even carry canned goods?

For the record, I eat plenty of canned food.

Of course Whole Foods does. [Not] as healthy is not the same as "unhealthy", some things require canned ingredients. I can easily make a tomato sauce with fresh tomatoes that is less healthy than the same one with quality canned tomatoes, for example.

Where a lot of canned foods get you is the ridiculous amount of sodium, so just be an informed shopper.

yeah they carry a lot of canned foods actually. They just don't carry "processed" canned foods like Boyardees and stuff. They have regular canned foods like canned beans, tomatoes and other veggies.

I don't even think it's necessarily true that canned or frozen food is not as healthy as fresh. A lot of produce sits around for too long from being picked, shipped and then placed on the floor, where as a lot of canning and the freezing process take place right after picking.

    I wasn't being serious...

I was being halfway serious that millennials strongly prefer fresh food based on the idea that it is so much better than canned.

They're also lazy ****s who don't really want to cook:

According to the International Food Information Council’s 2017 Food and Health Survey, 55 percent of millennials say convenience is a top driver when buying food, while baby boomers say taste matters more. Millennials are the drivers behind meal kits, grocery delivery services, food trucks, online ordering and the growth of heat-and-eat options at grocery stores.

Millennial also can't go to college without accumulating massive debts. They can't buy a home. They can't get pensions. They can't breathe clean air or drink clean water. The list goes on and on in no small part due to the overrated babyboomers.
