I've watched him play. He can shoot and plays hard. But the MAX? Ninja what?

John Wall makes everyone look good.

Porter is the best wing player in this year's free agent list. He is actually better than Gordon Hayward.

There are many games last year that he single handed keeping the Wiz in the game or just won it by himself.

Maybe he can but it pretty much seems he's being created for, not doing the creating, from last season:

    %AST 2PT 3PT
    Otto Porter .665 .966
    Trevor Ariza .615 .953

When you're the same amount of shot creation as 4,000 year old Trevor Ariza playing with James in his all-universe season, well....

Lol im tripping. I thought he was saying gordon hayward cant create his own shot.

Posted in wrong thread. I havent seen porter play much lol.

My only statement that i meant to post in this thread is that it makes perfect sense for brooklyb to overpay because they have no other way to acquire talent.

Didnt mean to say porter cqn create his own shot. I havent seen him play.

    Gordon hayward doe... Lol

Net's making more questionable signings, I'm a bit puzzle on this offer seeing as how they FINALLY got rid of Brook Lopez's albatross of a contract only to offer Porter a superstar like contract without already having a franchise player of their own.

Guards: Lin , Russell , Whitehead, Dimwiddle, Kilpatrick
    G/F's: Harris, Hollis-Jefferson, McDaniels, Levert
    F's: Acy, Nicholson, Vezenkov, Booker
    C's: Mozgov, Hamilton, Allen

Yet you want to add Porter at that price? I don't or can't watch much of the Nets but I'm already hoping they win more than the league's lowest record for least amount of wins in a NBA season. Do they finally have their own draft pick next year?

Edit: Just checked and the Nets still owe the Celtics their 2018 first round pick. What a franchise blunder, I wonder once the whole Melo thing is over, will the Nets ever be better than the Knicks? Both front offices and owners seem to have a knack for making questionable decisions :D

Porter is a young wing who has improved his 3 pt shot every year along with increasing the volume while being an above average defender.... y'all are surprised he got a max a month after turning 24? Young 3&D wings are pretty valuable in the current NBA.

Porter is a nice player....but 106 million nice?

Nah. Hard decision for the Wiz though, I guess that 3 and D players are hard to acquire they will swallow this.

I guess Brooklyn wants to put itself out there and try to force something positive. After the debacle of Billy King (who shouldn't be managing a Dairy Queen, let alone an NBA team), they have to do something.

It was the fault of the owner Prokhorov more than King. Prokhorov said they had to win in 4 years. King did what any GM would do given that directive. Only other choice was to say, "It can't be done signing over the hill FAs" and then get fired for defeatism.
