Hennigan said their goals remained consistent throughout and they wanted a "mixture of young players, young veterans, draft picks." Sounds like Houston's offer. But he was asked specifically about Houston's offer. He did not acknowledge the Rockets, but said in response to that question: "We feel this was the best deal for us. We talked to a lot of teams. There were options that we looked at, lot of permutations. At the end of the day, you look at what's available in theory and what's available in reality, and sometimes those things aren't the same."
We just saw someone get hired and fired for one purpose....to be the fall guy of the Dwightmare. Poor Hennigan got the shaft...and was none the wiser. I am happy Houston doesnt have Howard, we are better off seeing what we got. He wasnt ours to begin with so no loss.

The reporters sound upset! Rob sounded tired and defeated. Seems like the pressure got to him and he ended up agreeing to this deal. Who does a 4 team trade anyway? He tried got too fancy and ended up getting taken advantage of by the other 3 GMs.
Maybe Hennigan will get fired for trading Dwight, Morey will get fired for failing to get Dwight, and Hennigan will get hired here where he has all the young players and draft picks he needs to truly duplicate the OKC model. Just remember you heard it here first...
