Should've done it two years ago before he screwed the franchise to the floor for at least five years.
Grant Hill is a classy guy and all, but why would you want the face of your basketball operation to be the player whose signing turned out to be a rather unfortunate basketball operation decision?
Interesting. If you are the Magic then you have to go for that. I would be concerned based on Cousin's personality and how Shaq and Howard ended up on the Magic but that's your quickest way back to being a .500 team.
Based on what? You don't know any details on the potential trade, and more importantly, DMC has yet to prove he can anchor a winning team in any way.
Based on that a bird in the hand is worth more than 2 in the bush. That is Cousins is very talented and building through the draft involves a lot of luck on top a great scouting/analysis. Seems like the Magic's future in much more in the air trying to build through the draft. Cousins is a gamble, absolutely, but the Kings were terribly incompetent and terribly toxic so I'm not sure how much you really want to base "winning" on in that sort of environment. We don't know any potential deals except the one that landed Cousin in New Orleans. Seems the Magic could beat that if they wanted to, speculation on my part, but that's what I believe.
I don't like when bad general managers get fired. It could mean one less guy for Morey to take advantage of.
