If Orlando does miss the playoffs when do they have to decide if they want to give us the pick, the day the season ends or after the lottery. You never know what could happen in the lottery, we could concievably get Orlando's pick(worst in lottery) and get the #1 pick by some miracle. It's not impossible for Houston to get the #1 pick with their own pick either because S.A. got the #1 pick when they were only around #7 in the lottery but got lucky. The Rocks really need to lose 2 out of these last 3 games to have any chance of catching Denver. If they do I think they have an outside chance at a top 3 pick.

Unless the Magic somehow gain cap room by unloading that pick (which I think is correct) I don't see why they would would give up a 13th-14th selection to us when they have the option still for a few years and I "believe" can acquire a late first rounder and unload that one to us instead.

How many picks do the Rockets have for this year.

I read in the Front page of Clutch that the Rockets have.........

"We have the $1.2M, the $2.3M plus a $4.5M to play with during the offseason, barring any changes in personnel. [Rudy] thought it would be likely that Orlando would make the playoffs and the Rockets would get their pick this year after all, making it three total picks for the draft ..."

So what is it, how many picks do the Rockets have and realistically hope to have.

we don't know yet Vince. Ask this question after the playoff teams are set. they don't have to give us their picks under certain situations.
