Naw. dobro told us Casspi sucked three years ago when I was saying he was better than Terrence and should be our starting 4. dobro was right. Casspi sucks.

I like watching Dekker play, but if our only shot at beating the Warriors is to overwhelm them with 3s, then Casspi is the better fit.

Regardless, if either Dekker or Anderson went down with an injury we would be screwed. Considering their respective injury histories, I think you have to sign Casspi no doubt.

The Rockets had to have 12 active players on their roster 2 weeks after they moved KJ and Ennis. Wiltjer was promoted to the Rockets from RGV to satisfy this requirement. This might be part of the reason why we didn't grab Casspi off waivers.

Troy Williams 10 day allows us to see what he is about and still have the flexibility to bring Casspi in later if Morey/MDA views the as the better option.

Bima, how does playoff compensation work? Is it over and above the player's contract, and if so, how would advancing in the playoffs add to the numbers you posted?

I thought Casspi played pretty well for us when he was here. I think he'd be a good addition to the bench.

100% you do this. Perfect backup stretch 4, great 3 point shooter.

I would add him. He fits the offense and he's proven. He's a good teammate.

At this point, Casspi is such a good fit for the Rockets, I'd be pissed if the Rockets couldn't make it happen. The "role" and the money are very competitive with any other team.

We have the 1, 2, and 5 spots locked down.
Bev, Harden, Sweet Lou, and Gordon man both guard spots. Capela, Nene, and Harrel have the 5. We only have Dekker as the primary backup for the 3/4.

While our rotation for the playoffs seems to be set (evidenced by the Cavs game) it still makes too much sense to sign Casspi as insurance..if not a chance at rotation minutes if Dekker is struggling. When healthy, Casspi appears to be the most logical target in the FA pool for our bench needs. Might as well roll the dice with money to spend.

Considering how Dekker was (not) used, I would agree. Need Casspi's 40% 3pt shot.

Casspi is going to Minnesota. Makes sense for him, Wolves are still trying to reach that 8th spot and have no depth. He can earn minutes.

The Rockets must not have wanted him. Which is interesting considering they bragged about having extra money to throw around.
