Groin pull sidelines Olajuwon ESPN.com news services VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Houston Rockets center Hakeem Olajuwon, who suffered a right groin pull in the opener of a four-game trip against Portland on Friday, will not play Monday against the Grizzlies and probably will also miss the final two games of the trip, a Rockets spokesman said Saturday. Olajuwon probably will return to Houston within the next 24 hours so that team doctors can further evaluate the injury, the spokesman said. Olajuwon did not return after sustaining the injury in the third quarter of the Rockets' 91-88 overtime loss. He was hurt when he fouled Blazers center Arvydas Sabonis away from the Portland basket. The injury occurred just 13 seconds into the third quarter, with the Blazers ahead 49-44. "I went for the steal, my groin got pulled," Olajuwon said. "This is my first experience with a groin injury. I was told that you get worse in the morning, so I don't know really how bad." Olajuwon, Houston's second-leading scorer at 15.5 points per game, finished with six points and five rebounds. ------------------ Rocket fuel pumps through these veins...
