It looks like that ship has sailed with newyork. The got rid of q and picked up a decent big man in the process.
Good thread. Thanks for consolidating all this info. It had become very hard to navigate through everything else.
"Another Rockets attempt to move up involved former Griz Shane Battier and Carl Landry as well as other pieces. But Houston also wanted Gay." Lol...I love it! Now, as part of a package, Houston wants to send Shane back to Memphis for Rudy Gay, but Memphis says no...haha.
Haha this is both interesting, ironic and funny at the same time. Orlando in discussions about Mac and Shane back to Memphis for Rudy. Also Sheed to Magic or Spurs!? They already got a legit wing player each for pretty much nothing and now its possible that Sheed might go there!?
Looking for Rasheed Wallace By Joe Alexander There were reports on local radio and the Internet on Friday that veteran NBA power forward/center Rasheed Wallace is in San Antonio. Wallace, who made $13,680,000 for the 2008-09 season (according to HoopsHype.com), becomes a free agent on July 1. The Spurs are in a position to add a big man to their roster after giving up forward/centers Fabricio Oberto and Kurt Thomas in the trade for Richard Jefferson. Wallace averaged 12.0 points and 7.4 rebounds this season. He averaged 6.5 points and 6.3 rebounds in the playoffs. The 6-foot-11 Wallace averages 15.0 points and 6.9 rebounds for his career in the regular season. He averaged 14.6 points and 6.7 rebounds in 153 playoff games. Wallace is a four-time All-Star and was a member of the Pistons' 2004 NBA championship team. He appears to be a player in demand by some of the powers in the East. The "Celtics Blog" says Boston is looking at Wallace. http://www.celticsblog.com/2009/6/26...on-free-agents From the Boston Herald: http://news.bostonherald.com/sports/...g_vince_carter An NBA Fanhouse report says the Eastern Conference champion Orlando Magic will make a run at Wallace. http://nba.fanhouse.com/2009/06/26/m...-brandon-bass/ From the Boston Globe: http://www.boston.com/sports/basketb...ltics_in_east/ Rasheed Wallace's NBA bio page: http://www.nba.com/playerfile/rashee....html?nav=pag
Tmac for curry and harrington would have got it done? Wow Morey needs to just keep tmac in that case.
i really hope the rockets work something out with the knicks. splitting tmac's contract into 2 endings would be really helpful in making a predatory trade.
Tracy for Harrington and Hughes would be perfect (salaries match up almost exactly). That's two guys that have value as either players or ending contracts. It would give Morey a lot of flexibility in terms of mixing and matching players for trades. The only problem, no real reason for NY to do this deal since it's a wash in terms of contracts and their guys are actually contributing. Edit: Okay I just read the OP. According to Bucher, NY would have accepted T-mac for Al + Q. Rich. I guess they would probably accept Al + Hughes as well. I guess Morey thinks they can do better. Well at least Al + Hughes can be a fallback option.
