Someone needs to have a conversation with Bregman, it's in his head at this point, he has to wake up, if he does the Nats are over with. He's gotta do a lot better than he has.

It's only one game and I still got faith in this team. This is the World Series. It's supposed to be the two best teams and you can't just expect to be handed the trophy.

The Nationals are not the Yankees.

A big reason the Astros squeaked by the Yankees is because they were just as bad with runners in scoring position as the Astros.

This Nationals team is clutch (best 2 out batting team in the postseason), and they're not gonna fold.

Astros bats need to get their head out of their ass. We've been saying this all postseason now.

I’m glad I didn’t drop $1.5k on that game. Lol

Now let’s see what’s up with the Lakers and Clippers.

What a shitty way to start this series. Bregman is just looking for walks. It's pathetic. We're so ****ing passive, it's sickening.

Correa put a good swing on it.

Astros had 10 hits and 5 walks. Alvarez seemed like he was seeing the ball well overall even with the one strikeout. I think that bodes well for the rest of the series.

The way the bats continue to struggle in big spots is so disappointing.

Bregman always cocky, saying he's this and that....he's been a failure for the most part in the postseason. His luster is also dull right now. Players in general who don't do much in the playoffs lose respect no matter what they do in the regular season.

Way too many missed opportunities. Too many left on base. Clutch hitting was missing. I am looking at you Alvarez. Correa and Bregman were MIA. Tonight, Nationals looked like the better team.

Nats remind me of us back in 2017 with the whole underdog mantra..they can definitely beat us...hopefully the guys haven't let the fact that we are so heavily favored to their heads

Astros played a solid game. Worked the counts, had opportunities at the plate, went through the nationals main relievers.
Cole won’t be that bad again.

We will win the series... but it’s going to be a 6-7 game series

I swear it seems like Bregman watches a pitch go right down the middle in every at bat these days.

A loss in Game 1 doesn't worry me, I mean the Yankees won Game 1 too (7-0 no less) but it didn't shake these guys confidence.

The only thing that worries me here is Strasburg is pitching next game. He scares me a lot more than James Paxton.

I think our guys will answer the call, though.
