Brightside, if we lose this series but win next year, we're still a dynasty.

Adding 100 wins will make extra history.

Maybe 1-2 other teams last 120 years can compete with that.

The Astros need to go back to the 2017 aggressive batting strategy.

Yeah they struck out a lot but they also lit up the bats.

This milking the AB **** is a failure.

So did L Ron Hubbard, as long as our bats keep looking like this.

I mean it isn't close. Bregman has provided -1 runs today.

They've done everything right tonight, we've squandered opportunities in all 4 phases of the game.

The Astros might not score 6 more runs all series

The odds for the series aren't looking great for the Astros either at this point. That being said if the Nats can come into Houston and take 2, then the Astros are certainly capable of doing the same in DC.

This will be a huge disappointment however you’re right that we’ll still be a heavy top 5 favorite to be back and hopefully it’s a bit humbling.

You mean like Altuve just popping up a pitch 4 inches from his eyes?

As our hitters continue to go down punchlessly

Tired from what? They played half ass half the season. Correa has been on vacation half the season. Bregman is young and his body should be made for this. Tuve and Springer both had extended times off this season. Alvarez only came up in June. TIRED?

    GTFO. THEY ARE CHOKING.

So... odds greinke shuts down the Nats while we score 7 runs?

So either the Nationals carry this streak and they probably swept but they might hit a wall and it’s a series. No team wins forever at 89% clip. Hell maybe they win 144 next year

Don't worry, still plenty of time for one of the most vaunted offenses in history to turn it around

The only losers here today are the ones getting smoked 8-2 & losing both games at home

This wasn't their best two games..
I can't help feeling that once they got past the Yankees they felt this series was a given. Just not mentally there..

    How do you get -1?

2 run HR and a 5 run error.
