umps continue to suck, incredible how bad they are

 

It was close. Not horrible given how the pitch moved

 

But there were 2 missed and another missed earlier in the game. Seems to be happening way too often.

 

But it was 3 pitches in that at bat

 

Anybody else have a hard time paying attention during Fiers starts? He works very deliberately slow, usually has border-line command, and there are plenty of fouled 2 strike pitches that extend AB's.

 

Ashby: I've had a tendency to call them semi shifts.

 

Did you see the ump during the Cleveland-Toronto game today? Poor guy had no idea of what the zone was (changed throughout the game... which ended up going 19 innings!), and lost control of everything from the get-go with the ejections.

Sometimes, humans have bad days... in sports, they usually can sub those guys out... but umpires don't have that luxury.

There needs to be a hybrid system with technology involved when it comes to balls-strikes.

 

why pitch to correa with first base open?

 

Agree that there should be an audible in the umps ear that tells him what pitch trackers sees because the umps just keep getting worse.
