All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PBP, that can be found from other sources if you need it. That, and Correa batting cleanup. Would have preferred Kemp batting 9th, that seems to be where he hits best, but hopefully he still produces. Same. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but yesterday being a DH day for him, and then getting today off, it kind of concerns me. Still unsure why Kemp has never played second, Blum said he took grounders there a while back but nothing since. Just wondering, since he played there almost exclusively in college and the minors. Still, he's not too bad in left field, it's center and right field where he's a liability.
Twins beat us earlier this season in Minnesota. We'll see if we fair better in "friendly" confines of MMP.
Though, the Twins will now be playing without Dozier, Escobar, Pressly, and others. The previous series was early in the season, before the fire sale.
Maybe Altuve wanted a shot at 200 hits and now that it is out of reach he will get to 100%. He would've had to darn near get 2 hits a game to get it.
We'll see how Keuchel's first inning goes. It's been indicative of how his game will go. Last 14 starts... 7-2 , 2.64 ERA
That ball was a strike. Glad it ended on the next pitch - 21 total for the inning. Let's score, then get a quick inning from Keuchel.
Hinch has said before he doesn't consider a DH day an actual day off, and with it being a day game after the night game I wouldn't read too much into it yet.
Kemp seems faster than Altuve. Bregman is in the midst of reaching base 90 of 92 games. Eta- after that HR, 91 of 93
