Correct. The jaguars exposed Luck. The Texans zone with no rush was destroyed. The Scheme needs to change against the better QB's.
They did adjust in the 2nd half. It was a little too late but they did adjust. The offense just couldn't produce. They had every chance to.
It didn't have to be too late if the offense ever managed to produce. Can't win games with an offense as pathetic as what BOB will ensure you have.
Yep, they did adjust...but they played this team 2 times in the year...it really shouldn't have taken them another half to figure it out especially considering they tried the zone crap in the 2nd game and found little success with it.
They didn't have CP who can man cover so. What schemes can they run? It takes EVERYTHING to be just right to win it all. Get better OL protection. Run shorter routes and get CB help. Even with this coach they can win. The 1st play was a long pass that didn't work, not run up the middle like he always did so there options but instead of one on one with no Fuller their were 2 on DH. Fuller on a fly route would have taken more attention but he is out. Life is like that sometimes. This NFL is a tough league and it is not easy to win.
They did and injuries were unfortunately an issue from the start. But since then, we’ve spent exactly 1 draft pick on a CB, a 7th rounder. I liked the Colvin signing and still hope he can turn it around. But think it’s funny for BoB to say we need better CB play when the you’ve only really made 2 notable additions (with one significant subtraction) to the group in 5 seasons. And just to note, we’ve drafted the same number of TEs as CBs during BoB’s tenure. That seems crazy to me.
While y’all want to trade clowney I’d more so prefer to trade mercilus I feel like he is much easier to replace seems there is no room for him or he isn’t even being used good enough maybe Arizona would be interested him and 3rd for Peterson
He didn't look himself all year. If we're paying Clowney, Mercilus has to be traded. I'm sure Duke can get 4 sacks (Mercilus 2018 sack total). 3rd would be nice but we should be happy with a 4th.
very skeptical of this with a 21-0 lead Indy is happy to go conservative and milk the clock, it wasn't necessarily anything the Texans defense did
Yeah it just looked like they wanted to keep the ball away from us. They're defense was playing good and Deshaun wasn't connecting on anything.
The scouts and assess talent the coaches coach the talent. I'm sure BOB had some input but the gm made the final call The gm certainly had final say on Bouye. What do you think the former GM's job was? Doesn't matter now, one is gone and the other is still here. Rhat really says it all.
Still call BS on this nonsense, if Coach really liked Bouye, a player who was on his team and played for him he would have vouch for him to stay b/c bouye was great and the other corner backs on the team were pretty meh. But being the sht coach he let Bouye leave b/c he couldn't didn't value Bouye enough. The previous GM didn't even get fired, and our coach got extended after a sht year, doesn't really says much about this organization except it likes being mediocre
Who made the final call on Bouye? Who got extended and for whatever reason who is not here and will never be on Kirby again? What do you think the former GM'S job was?
Every coach still in the playoffs has an OC (Sean Payton), Andy Reid, Billichek , Sean McVay, Who does Bill o brien think he is not to have one.. So confused man..
While this is true, Payton, Reid and McVay all call the plays, regardless of their coaching structure. Belichick is a defensive coach. I'm frantically beating the drum for an OC - if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears - but it's more from a design/approach perspective, rather than a playcall. Whatever the structure, BO'B would (and should) have final say on what gets called during a game. My concern is that his offense shows almost no innovation.
