you are right .. if centers were to be cut based on how they performed against kris jenkins than so many of them would be out of a job .. just look at the guys highlight reel, he is a beast

This CBS Blogger doesn't think Seattle is in the mix for Leinart...

Seahawks cut Julius Jones and Jordan Babineaux today. I think the Texans may take a look at Babineaux. He can play either corner and safety and has some starting experience in this league. He is a Port Arthur native. As for Jones, new Texans QB coach Greg Knapp knows him well since was the OC at Seattle last year. If Jones has anything left, he should know.

does a claim on these players equate to a right to sign, or is this the process in which all teams can place claims that will later be sorted on weakness of claiming team?

Interesting, no John David Booty OR Jeremiah Johnson.

    It is as follows:

C Brett Helms, OT Cole Pemberton, DT Malcom Sheppard, LB Isaiah Greenhouse, S Torri Williams, WR Bobby Williams, RB Chris Ogbonnaya

1 opening on PS, 1 opening on roster

Well they have one more opot spot on the 53 man roster and I think that goes to a QB either Matt Leinart or Patrick Ramsey. If that is the case, no need to sign Booty to the practice squad. As for why Johnson isn't on the practice squad, he is injured for at least a month so there thinking is why waste a spot on the practice squad for a unhealthy player. When he heals up, I am sure they will take a look at him.

I hope if they sign another QB it is to replace Or-loss-ky on the 53 man squad and not Booty on the practice squad.
