So we will have 56 Million in cap room after the season after cutting Cush, Brown, and others. I would be looking at Jarvis Landry, Nate Soldier, and another OG.
Gotta pay Clowney. Agree on Solder but price is going to be high. He's like the only quality free agent tackle available as of now. Too much invested in the WR position with Hopkins, Fuller, Braxton, and Strong. I would rather go after a CB (Vontae, Trumaine).
Right now, Clowney is doing everything in his power to lower that price though. He needs to step it up
The past two offseasons have seen three elite guards leave their teams. We could have signed any of them, or two of them. I wanted us to sign Josh Sitton before last year so bad when he was cut and wanted TJ Lang this year. The Texans were convinced that XSF and Jeff Allen would be fine. I'm surprised they've let them burn them for them a 3rd and 2nd straight year respectively.
Hopefully XSF and Allen are both gone next year. Would love to see what Mancz and DQ can do at the guard spots
Rick needs to lose a bit of his loyalty instinct. I know he gets it from the loyalty that has been shown to him by the McNairs but damn dude, cut your losses.
You can certainly upgrade in free agency. I would rather have Mancz go back to center and have Martin become a guard. Mancz showed last year he can handle it and well. I think that would sure up one side if you are able to get Duane back in the door. Martin is a beast and him playing center in my opinion is a waste of his talents.
What O linemen are available that would be upgrades to the crap we currently have? Eric Winston and Michael Oher initially come to mind. Anyone else?
