So according to this the only way this can go down is if we lose to Jacksonville. Losing to the Titans and beating the Jags means we're still safe. Given all the other games that have to go the Colts way, that's a statistical window that almost impossibly small. If anyone wants to cash in on the Texans curse though, now is your time to place bets on this parlay.

^ Moron McClain at it again. Gee John, you don't think it'd be wise to have a 3rd quarterback on the roster as insurance, considering that Shane Lechler was one injury away from playing? I think this has nothing to do with Hoyer's progression through the protocol, other than they want to be prepared in case he isn't ready.
I believe Seattle also tried him as a receiver? Maybe his flexibility on the field gives the texans more options..so he might not even be signed as a 'backup' QB but rather 3rd string QB with benefits
